Ahilya Fort is fine! The views of the Narmada are amazing, and the peaceful ambiance made it a perfect getaway. Food was fantastic, although I wish there was more variety. The staff was caring. Definitely a hidden gem worth visiting!

Jol at the river 🌊
The food was super lekker-like, some of the best I've ever eaten! And being on the banks of the Narmada, with kids splashing about while birds chirp, just made it all so cozy and chill.
Insects were a bit of a bother, but they provided nets, so not a major deal.

This was just a prime choice for a brief retreat in Maheshwar with great value. The nice view from my room over the river and ghats was lovely and made for a perfect evening. Don't miss the lovely swimming pool when you're there.

Great views of the river and beautiful temples to explore. We also appreciated the option to hire a guide for a reasonable fee. Plus, no entry fee was a huge relief.
As it seemed outdated and not well-maintained. Our room was small and not very comfortable for the price we paid.

We loved our stay at this place. The location in the palace of an ancient fort on the banks of the Narmada river was simply breathtaking. The views from the walls and turrets were incredible. The service provided by the staff was exceptional. They were attentive and went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The food and cocktails served were of top quality, and the breakfast spread was sumptuous. We also had plenty of options for activities and sightseeing nearby, which were well-planned and enjoyable.
We highly recommend this place to everyone.

The gardens and pool were lovely, and the view of the river was stunning. the staff was friendly and attentive, providing us with delicious food and beverages. the location was also convenient for sightseeing in the area.
The rooms had several issues with cleanliness, and there were bugs in the bathroom. the decor felt outdated and in need of a refresh.

Located on the banks of Narmada river, Ahilya Fort offers scenic views of the sunrise and sunset. the palace also boasts a beautiful garden with fountains, and even a stone-cut Baneshwar temple in the middle of the river. the rooms are charming and carry an old-world charm that blends perfectly with modern amenities. Special attentions from the staff, such as personalized food menus for babies make it a treat for families. Complimentary boat rides and drinks from the personal collection of the Maharajah add to the guests' exclusive experience.
The hotel's dinner options are minimalistic, which may not satisfy guests who are looking for an elaborate dining experience.
